The Turkish company Erciyas Çelik Boru has completed the supply of pipes for the desalination project in Morocco

Turkish pipe manufacturer Erciyas Çelik Boru has announced that it has completed the production and shipment of pipes for the third phase of the desalination project in Morocco, completing deliveries according to the planned schedule.

The order worth $76.34 million was concluded in February 2025, as previously reported by SteelOrbis.

Strategic project to solve the problem of water shortage

The project, led by the Government of Morocco, aims to address long-term water shortages in the Marrakesh region. It involves desalination of seawater and its transportation inland to meet the growing demand amid ongoing problems with water scarcity.

Erciyas stated that her participation in the project has strengthened her strategic position, which has led to additional demand for new projects. Negotiations on further business opportunities are currently underway. The company aims to expand its relationships with project stakeholders through broader initiatives.
