Meanwhile, hot-rolled strip shipments to Japan totaled 1.13 million tons in February, down 0.7 percent. compared to the previous month and up 7.1 percent year on year. 27.7 percent of supplies were made to the domestic market and the remaining 72.3 percent to export markets. This month, hot-rolled steel production in Japan was 1.08 million tons, down 14.5 percent month-on-month and up 1.5 percent year-on-year.
