Metinvest group is named the winner of the national competition

Thanks to the Corporate Program of the Good Deeds, Metinvest won the nomination "Improving the quality of life" as part of the national competition "Corporate volunteering in Ukraine - 2012". This was reported by the press center of the group Metinvest.

The jury of the competition Metinvest presented his volunteer program "Good deed landing". In this program, more than two thousand people were involved - metinvest volunteers. They helped orphanages, hospitals, schools, elderly citizens - to everyone who needs help. They turned out to be 3 thousand people and more than 100 social institutions and organizations. Participation in the program cost Metinvest and its employees about 1 million 200 thousand UAH.

The competition was organized by the largest organizations that promote the social responsibility of business in Ukraine. Among the organizers were the network of the UN global agreement, the European business association, the American Chamber of Commerce, the Ukrainian Forum of benefactors and the Eastern European Fund.

“Our competition is a unique and so far the only professional platform in Ukraine, designed to give an objective assessment of the effectiveness of volunteer initiatives by Ukrainian business companies,” said Viktor Lyakh, Executive Director of the East Europe, one of the initiators of the competition.

“It was extremely difficult to evaluate applications in the most popular nomination“ Improving the quality of life ”. The volunteer activity of the company is able to change, improve the situation of a particular person or target group, which are in complex life circumstances. However, guided by the described results, systematic in approaches and the implementation of volunteer initiatives, the involvement of employees, we chose Metinvest, ”says Elena Shramko, a member of the jury, editor -in -chief of the All -Ukrainian Information and Analytical Portal Contracts.ua.
