According to Chinese customs authorities, China's steel sheet/plate exports totaled 14.6 million tons between January and March this year, down 16.3% year on year, 1.8 percentage points faster than the rate of decline recorded in the first two months of this year.
China's main export destinations for flat steel products include the EU, South Korea and Vietnam, increased trade barriers, negatively impacting China's steel sheet/flat exports in the first three months.
In March alone, China's steel sheet/flat exports totaled 5.28 million tons, down 19.1% year on year.
