Iron ore exports through Port Hedland increased by 15.8 percent in March 2026 compared to February.

In March of this year, iron ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland increased by 15.8 percent month-on-month and decreased by 8.5 percent year-on-year, amounting to 46,358,129 tons.

According to information released by the Port Hedland Port Authority, shipments of iron ore from Port Hedland to China totaled 38.45 million tons this month, up 12.9 percent from the previous month and down 6.6 percent year-on-year. South Korea and Japan followed China in March, receiving 4.19 million tons and 1.76 million tons, respectively.

On the other hand, iron ore shipments from Port Dampier increased by 5.5 percent month-on-month in March and decreased by 16.7 percent year-on-year to 11.35 million tons.
