According to information released by the Port Hedland Port Authority, shipments of iron ore from Port Hedland to China totaled 38.45 million tons this month, up 12.9 percent from the previous month and down 6.6 percent year-on-year. South Korea and Japan followed China in March, receiving 4.19 million tons and 1.76 million tons, respectively.
On the other hand, iron ore shipments from Port Dampier increased by 5.5 percent month-on-month in March and decreased by 16.7 percent year-on-year to 11.35 million tons.
