Imports of HRC to the United States in February 2026 decreased by 15.8 percent compared to January

According to preliminary data from the U.

S. Department of Commerce, imports of hot-rolled sheet to the United States amounted to 50,422 tons in February this year, which is 15.8 percent less than in January and 62.9 percent less than in February 2025.

In February, the United States imported the most HRC from South Korea - 27,743 tons, compared with 24,878 tons in January and 42,861 tons in February last year. The other largest sources of HRC imports in February are Canada with 9,455 tons, Mexico with 5,280 tons, Germany with 3,578 tons, Japan with 1,776 tons, Sweden with 1,414 tons and the Netherlands with 1,109 tons.
