According to Statistics Canada, Canada produced 4,622,257 tonnes of iron ore concentrates in February 2026, down 15.7 per cent from January 2026 and 8.2 per cent less than February 2025.
Canadian iron ore producers shipped 2,835,633 tonnes of iron ore of concentrates in February, which is 3.4 percent less than in January and 2.7 percent lower than in February 2025.
Inventories of iron ore concentrates at Canadian producers at the end of February amounted to 7,346,953 tons in February, which is 3.1 percent more than in January and lower by 35.6 percent than in February 2025 year.
