U.S. imports of cold-rolled coil totaled 72,843 tons in February this year, up 7.8 percent month-on-month and down 28.6 percent year-over-year, according to preliminary U.S. Commerce Department census data. In value terms, CRC imports were $69.34 million in February this year, compared to $59.27 million in January and $106.32 million in February 2025.
The United States imported the most CRC from Canada in February with 14,707 tons, compared to 16,413 tons in January and 39,027 tons in February 2025. Other major sources of CRC imports in February include Vietnam with 11,264 tonnes, Australia with 9,398 tonnes, the Netherlands with 9,034 tonnes and Turkey with 8,857 tonnes.
