In the first three months of this year, Japanese shipbuilders received new export orders for 44 vessels with a total displacement of 2.27 million gross tons, which is 5.2 percent more than last year.
On the other hand, Japan exported 24 vessels with a total displacement of 1.18 million gross tons in March, compared with 14 vessels with a total displacement of 640,678 gross tons registered in February.
Meanwhile, in the period from January to March of this year, Japan exported 60 vessels with a total displacement of 2.74 million gross tons, an increase of 8.6 percent year-on-year.
