The National Tariff Commission of Pakistan has completed its second review of the duration of the anti-dumping duty on imports of steel billets from China, confirming the continuation of the anti-dumping duty at 24.04 percent.
The measure will be in effect for five years starting June 22, 2025, following the initial imposition in 2017 and the first review in 2022. The latest decision was based on trading data. covering the period from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024
However, the regulation includes key exceptions. Imports used as raw materials for export-oriented manufacturing or for foreign grant aid projects may be exempt from duty provided they comply with the requirements of the Pakistan Customs Act, 1969. 7207.1290, 7207.1910, 7207.1920, 7207.1990, 7207.2010, 7207.2020, 7207.2090, 7224.1000 and 7224.9000.
