Brazil's central foreign trade system Siscomex reported that average freight rates for steel imports into the country were $52/t in March, up from $55/t in February.
For HRC, they were $28/t for South Korea, $48/t for China, $37/t for Egypt and $202/t for Germany.
For CRC, they were $55/t for South Korea and $78/t for China.
For coated flat products it was $54/t for China, $122/t for South Korea, $76/t for Japan, $57/t for India, $55/t for Hong Kong.
For wire rod it was $35/t for Egypt, $62/t for Russia, $38/t for China and $21/t for Germany.
For rebar it was $33/t for Egypt, $75/t for China, $139/t for South Korea, $81/t for India and $20/t for Turkey.
For strip, $70/t for Italy, $64/t for China and $44/t for Spain.
For beams: $66/t for China and $36/t for Turkey.
For steel wire: $56/t for China, $20/t for Egypt, $62/t for France and $31/t for Turkey.
Brazil's imports of finished steel products from China accounted for 63 percent of the total in March, up from 72 percent in February.
