In mid-April (April 11-20) of this year, the average price in China for HRB 400E 20 mm rebar increased by RMB 8.7/mt ($1.3/mt) or 0.3 percent to RMB 3190.3/mt ($465/mt), compared with the price in early April (April 1-10) as announced by the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
During this period, average prices for wire rod, medium-sized steel sheet and hot-rolled roll (HRC) increased by 0.4 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, while average prices for seamless steel pipes and corners decreased by 0.3 percent and 0.9 percent, all compared to the beginning of April.
