U.S. imports of rebar totaled 104,268 tons in February of this year, up 2.2 percent month-on-month and up 126.0 percent year-over-year, according to preliminary U.S. Commerce Department census data. In value terms, rebar imports were $56.65 million in February this year, up from $56.86 million in January and $30.77 million in February 2025.
The US imported the most rebar from South Korea in February with 66,498 tonnes, up from 9,225 tonnes in January. Other top sources of rebar imports in February included Turkey with 26,213 metric tons, Spain with 3,844 metric tons, Portugal with 3,226 metric tons and the Dominican Republic with 2,947 metric tons.
