Utilization of base metal production facilities in Turkey increased in April 2026 from March

In April of this year, the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish metallurgical industry was 75.1 percent, compared with 74.8 percent recorded in the previous month, while the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish metallurgical industry was 72.7 percent in April 2025, according to preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Turkey.

Meanwhile, in this month, the capacity utilization rate in the production of metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, was 72.4 percent, down from 73.5 percent recorded in March and up from 71.3 percent in April 2025.

The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's total manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was 73.8 percent in April this year, up from 73.3 percent recorded in the previous month and down from 74.3 percent in the same month in 2025.
