According to Taiwan's Ministry of Economy (MOEA), Taiwan's industrial production index increased by 26.35 percent in March this year from the previous month and grew by 28.68 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index increased by 1.62 percent month-on-month and by 26.07 percent year-on-year.
In the specified month, the volume of industrial production in the country's main metal production sector increased by 41.8 percent, while the volume of metal products increased by 40.42 percent compared to the previous month. In addition, year-on-year production in the base metals sector increased by 5.54 percent in March, while the volume of metal products increased by 1.39 percent.
Meanwhile, in March, production in Taiwan's machinery industry increased by 7.48 percent, while production in the automotive industry increased by 0.10 percent year-on-year.
