The Kametstal plant of the Metinvest Mining and Metallurgical Group, created at the facilities of the Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant (Kamenskoye, Dnipropetrovsk region), carried out major repairs of the furnace-ladle installation No. 1 in the converter shop. and the temperature before casting on a continuous casting machine (MBLZ). The central task of the repair was to replace the water–cooled roof of the installation, a critical component that protects the metal from secondary oxidation during heating and purging with an inert gas. The reliability of this element has a direct impact on the quality of steel. In addition, the arch performs a protective function, preventing the release of slag and melt from the bucket during processing.
The specialists of the Central Medical University also replaced 960 filter elements of the gas purification tract and carried out partial repairs of metal structures. The overhaul program also covered those critical nodes, the maintenance of which is possible only if UPK-1 is completely stopped. They were created on the basis of PJSC Dneprovsky Coke Chemical Plant (GKHZ) and PJSC Dneprovsky Metallurgical Combine (SCC). The plant is part of the Metinvest Group.
