Within the framework of the project, Primetals was responsible for conducting engineering research, manufacturing and supplying the necessary equipment, providing consulting services during construction and supporting commissioning.
Reconstruction completed on schedule within 50 days
The project was completed on schedule thanks to the close collaboration between ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt and Primetals. The complete replacement and commissioning of the converter suspension system was carried out while production was ongoing, without any safety issues.
Robert Richter, head of the ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt steel mill, stated that the teams followed a tight schedule and moved the converter smoothly, including its new refractory lining, while production continued. He described the project as a strong team effort and thanked all the participants for their dedication and experience.
