The company stated that with the commissioning of the second pellet plant, its total pellet production capacity in Consari now stands at eight million tons per year. According to him, the first plant is already operating at full capacity, which should contribute to a smoother commissioning of the new unit.
The Consari facility is closely linked to the company's own iron ore mines in Surjagarh. The raw materials are transported via an 85-kilometer slurry pipeline, commissioned in June 2025, which ensures a sustainable and cost-effective supply chain.
This facility also allows the production of pellets with a low alumina content, which, as a rule, have a more favorable price in both the domestic and export markets, according to LMEL.
