The largest passenger car manufacturer in terms of market share, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), reported sales of 187,704 units in April 2026, up 35 percent, while Tata Motors Limited sold 59,000 units, up 30 percent year-on-year.
Mahindra & Mahindra reported sales of 56,331 units, up eight percent, and Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited sold 30,159 units, up 21 percent year-on-year. Nissan India Limited's sales totaled 3,203 units, up 46 percent, Hyundai Motors India Limited sold 51,902 units, up 17 percent, Kia Motors Limited reported sales of 27,286 units, up 16 percent, while Renault sold 5,413 units, up 108 percent. more than last year. In addition, Honda Motors Limited sold 4,069 units in April 2026, which is 21 percent more than last year.
