According to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in April this year, the domestic producer price index (PPI) for the Turkish industry as a whole increased by 3.17 percent month-on-month and 28.59 percent year-on-year, while an average increase of 26.48 percent was recorded over the past 12 months.
B In this month, the domestic PPI for Turkey's core steel industry increased by 3.58 percent month-on-month and by 25.37 percent compared to the same month in 2025. Meanwhile, the average growth of the domestic PPI over the past 12 months was 19.89 percent.
On the other hand, in April, the domestic PPI for Turkish production of metal products, excluding machinery, increased by 1.99 percent compared to March and by 23.60 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the sector in question recorded an average PPI increase of 24.21 percent over the past 12 months.
