Italian steel manufacturer Galperti Special Alloys S.p.
A. He chose the Italian manufacturer Danieli Technologies to supply two key installations for his route for the production of special alloys in Italy. The contract covers an 8-ton vacuum induction melting furnace (VIM) and a 10-ton electroslag remelting furnace (ESR) designed to support the production of high-quality specialty and heat-resistant grades.
The 8-ton VIM furnace will provide controlled melting in vacuum conditions. This will allow Galperti Special Alloys to control the chemical composition with high precision while maintaining improved steel purity.
According to the announcement, the VIM plant will support a wide portfolio of specialty and heat-resistant grades, making it a key part of the company's advanced alloy production route. The launch is scheduled for the second half of 2026.
