In January-April of this year, domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles decreased by 3.1 percent year-on-year, amounting to 369,696 units. In the specified period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country decreased by 5.9 percent to 290,870 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 8.8 percent to 78,826 units, year-on-year.
Car sales in Turkey decreased by 3.1 percent in January-April 2026
In April of this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey increased by 2.3 percent month-on-month and decreased by one percent year-on-year to 104,298 units, according to statistics released by the Turkish Automobile Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD). This month, domestic passenger car sales in Turkey decreased 6.1 percent year-on-year and increased 0.4 percent month-on-month to 80,182 units, while light commercial vehicle sales increased 20.9 percent year-on-year and 8.9 percent month-on-month to 24,116 units.
