Luxembourg-based international steel pipe manufacturer Tenaris has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Romanian steel and seamless pipe manufacturer Artrom Steel Tubes S.
A. The transaction is aimed at strengthening Tenaris' production base in Europe and expanding the product range for customers in the industrial pipes segment.
According to the company statement, Tenaris will acquire 100% of the share capital of Artrom Steel Tubes S.
A. from GLGH Steel, LLC, an American company. The aggregate purchase price was set at €86 million on a cash and debt basis, including normalized working capital levels. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Artrom Steel Tubes S.
A. produces steel and seamless steel pipes in Romania. The company operates two main production sites:
- Plant in Resita: annual steelmaking capacity of about 450,000 tons
- Plant in Slatina: seamless pipe rolling capacity up to 200,000 tons per year
These assets are expected to support Tenaris' European industrial pipelines and strengthen the regional production network.
