S. steel exports in March 2026 increased by six percent compared to February

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, monthly steel exports in March this year increased by six percent compared to February and decreased by 6.2 percent year-on-year to 596,679 tons. In value terms, U.

S. steel exports totaled $1.14 billion in March, compared with $1.05 billion in February and $1.15 billion in March 2025.

Steel exports to Mexico rose 4.4 percent in March from February and increased 14.8 percent year-on-year to 373,744 tons, while exports to Canada rose 10.1 percent month-on-month and declined. By 27.5 percent compared to March 2025 to 188,560 tons

S. steel export destinations in March included Australia with 2,489 tons, India with 2,109 tons, and Brazil with 2,033 tons

The main steel products exported in March include 111,850 tons of HDG, 53,666 tons of hot rolled steel, 67,570 tons of cut-off steel, 68,586 tons of cold rolled steel, and 41,797 tons of rolled steel.
