According to data released by the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, Vietnam's steel imports totaled 1.43 million tons in April this year, up 14.8 percent from March, while scrap imports totaled 641,118 tons, an increase of 15.3 percent over the same month.
In the first four months of this year, Vietnam's steel imports fell 1.2 percent year on year to 5.04 million tons, and scrap imports amounted to 2.13 million tons during the period, an increase of 4.6 percent year on year.
