S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary results of the administrative Countervailing Duty (CVD) inspection of oil country pipe products (OCTG) from South Korea for the inspection period (POR) from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.
The Commerce Department has previously determined that no compensatory subsidies were provided to SeAH Steel Corporation, the manufacturer under review. and the exporter, and also established a de minimis countervailing net subsidy rate of 0.13 percent.
The Ministry of Justice partially cancelled the inspection of four companies: AJU Besteel Co., Ltd., ILJIN Steel Corporation, Kumkang Kind Co., Ltd. and NEXTEEL Co., Ltd., after each of them promptly withdrew their request for inspection. The Ministry of Transport also intends to cancel the inspection of Hyundai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., because at the time of the POR, the company had no verifiable records of the goods in question.
