According to a company statement, Turkish stainless steel manufacturer Sarıtaş Stainless Steel has placed an order for major equipment for its integrated stainless steel investment at the Yalova Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone.
The order, supplied by Austrian plant manufacturer Andritz AG, includes rolling mills, a cold annealing and pickling line, rolling mills and auxiliary equipment. The company said that the equipment will become the technological basis of the first stage of cold rolling at the Yalova enterprise.
Sarytash said that the investments will be made in three stages. Following the first phase of cold rolling operations, the company's roadmap includes investments in hot rolling and melt shop with the goal of creating a fully integrated stainless steel production ecosystem from melt to finish by 2030. The company added that the project is being developed in accordance with the principles of sustainable development, with an emphasis on environmental friendliness, resource efficiency and digital process control.
The integrated technology package is designed to ensure high surface quality, process stability and energy efficiency, supporting the production of value-added stainless steel products for sectors such as white goods, automotive, energy, mechanical engineering and chemicals.
