Exports of rolled plates to the United States decreased by 6.5% in March 2026 compared to February

S. Department of Commerce, exports of rolled plates to the United States totaled 41,797 tons in March this year, down 6.5 percent month-on-month and up 58.4 percent year-on-year. In value terms, exports of rolled plates totaled $45.09 million in March this year, compared with $49.38 million in the previous month and $29.19 million in the same month in 2025.

The United States shipped the largest number of plates in rolls to Mexico in March this year with 34,884 tons, up from 38,559 tons in February and 18,011 tons in March 2025. Another popular destination was Canada, with 6,243 metric tons. In March, there were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for the export of rolled slabs to the United States.
