In January-April of this year, the weighted average cost of purchasing coking coal, domestically produced iron ore and imported iron ore in China increased by 2.06%, 2.06% and 0.55% year-on-year, while the weighted average cost of purchasing metallurgical coke and ferrous scrap in China decreased by 0.42% and 1.28% on an annual basis, respectively, as announced by the Chinese Association of Ferrous Metallurgy (CISA).
In April of this year, the weighted average purchase price of coking coal, metallurgical coke, small iron ores of Chinese production (on a dry basis) and imported iron ore increased by 3.65%, 1.81%, 0.4% and 0.87% on a monthly basis, while the weighted average purchase price of ferrous scrap decreased by 0.02% on a monthly basis calculus, respectively.
