Taiwan's industrial production index fell 6.37 percent month-on-month in April this year and rose 14.16 percent year-on-year, according to data from the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA). Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index this month increased 0.45 percent month-on-month and 13.92 percent year-on-year.
In this month, industrial production in the country's core steel industry fell 1.82 percent, while output of steel products increased 0.45 percent from the previous month. In addition, year-on-year in April, the output of the main metal processing sector increased by 2.08 percent, and the output of metal products increased by 5.87 percent.
