S. steel exports totaled $1.14 billion in April, compared with $1.14 billion in March and $1.04 billion in April 2025.
Steel exports to Mexico rose 6.9 percent in April from March and increased 22.9 percent year-on-year to 399,602 tons, while exports to Canada decreased 4.6 percent month-on-month and higher. 8.7 percent compared to April 2025 to 179,718 tons
Other major U.
S. steel export destinations in April included China with 3,902 tons, India with 1,791 tons, and the United Kingdom with 1,768 tons.
The main export directions of steel from the USA in April include HDG in the amount of 100,047 tons, hot rolled steel - 51,117 tons, cut-off steel - 71,873 tons, cold rolled sheet - 66,778 tons, rolled sheet - 43,819 tons
