According to preliminary data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Turkey's welded pipe exports totaled 122,360 metric tons in April this year, down 47.5 percent from March and down 4.7 percent year on year. Meanwhile, revenue from these exports totaled $111.59 million, down 42.7 percent month-on-month and 5.6 percent year-on-year.
Between January and April, Turkey's welded pipe exports totaled 629,919 tons, down 8.1 percent, while the value of those exports increased 8.6 percent to $554.25 million. both figures are annualized.

Turkey's welded pipe export market structure between January and April became more Europe-oriented and more balanced compared to the same period last year. Romania maintained its top position with 103,771 tonnes, while the UK moved up to second place with 72.1 percent year-on-year growth, becoming one of the key markets supporting export growth. Croatia's 267.7 percent rise to third place, as well as significant growth in Belgium and Morocco, show that demand from Europe and nearby regions is becoming increasingly decisive for Turkey's welded pipe exports.
Meanwhile, Iraq, the United States and Canada, which were among the top 10 countries in the same period last year, dropped out of this year's list. Sharp declines in exports to Iraq by 73.7 percent, Canada by 65.1 percent and the United States by 28.6 percent indicate a weaker picture in traditional and distant markets. In terms of total tonnage, January-April exports rose 8.1 percent year-on-year to 629,919 tons; However, exports in April fell 47.5 percent month-on-month and 4.7 percent year-on-year to 122,360 tons, indicating that the strong momentum seen in the first quarter slowed markedly in April.
