Wafer coil exports to the United States totaled 43,819 tons in April this year, up 4.8 percent month-on-month and up 90.7 percent year-on-year, according to U.S. Commerce Department export data. In value terms, wafer roll exports were $50.0 million in April this year, up from $45.09 million the previous month and $27.08 million in the same month in 2025.
The US shipped the most wafer rolls to Mexico in April this year with 38,911 tons, up from 34 884 tons in March and 20,540 tons in April 2025. Canada was another popular destination with 4,570 metric tons. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for slab coil exports to the US in April.
