According to preliminary data from the US Department of Commerce, imports of pipe products from the petroleum countries (OCTG) to the United States amounted to 72,469 tons in April this year, which is 22.6 percent less than in March and 59.6 percent less than last year. In value terms, OCTG imports totaled $86.97 million in April, compared with $105.13 million in March and $227.67 million in the same month in 2025.
The United States imported the most OCTG from South Korea in April, with 25,315 tons, compared with 22,566 tons in March and 33,207 tons in April 2025. The other largest sources of OCTG imports in April were Austria with 13,752 tons, Taiwan with 10,749 tons and Canada with 7,414 tons.
