According to the export data of the US Department of Commerce, exports of heavy building structures from the United States (including U, I, H, L and T-section beams) in April this year amounted to 21,308 tons, an increase of 10.2 percent compared to March and 26.1 percent compared to April of the previous year. In value terms, beam exports totaled $34.72 million in April, compared with $30.88 million in the previous month and $20.28 million in the same month in 2025.
The United States supplied the most beams to Canada in April – 11,804 tons, compared with 10,180 tons in March and 11,248 tons in April 2025. There was Mexico with 8,614 tons. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 tons or more) for the export of beams from the USA in April
