Rebar imports to the United States in April 2026 increased by 45.9 percent compared to March

According to preliminary data from the U.

S. Department of Commerce, rebar imports to the United States totaled 103,510 tons in April this year, up 45.9 percent month-on-month and 89.0 percent year-on-year. In value terms, rebar imports totaled $54.39 million in April this year, compared with $38.58 million in March and $31.12 million in April 2025.

The United States imported the most rebar from South Korea in April, with 69,751 tons, compared with 63,871 tons in March. The other largest sources of imported fittings in April are Malaysia (16,475 tons), Brazil (10,489 tons) and the Dominican Republic (5,199 tons)
