On the contrary, exports to Romania, Albania and Kosovo, which were among the key markets last year, decreased by 28.2 percent, 18.9 percent and 27.9 percent, respectively. The overall picture shows that although the total tonnage of rebar exports from Turkey increased 4.3 percent year-on-year between January and May, the growth was supported mainly by strong growth in markets such as Palestine, Peru and Egypt, rather than the traditional Balkan markets.
