The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) announced that wholesale sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China are estimated at 1.51 million units in June this year, up 22 percent year-on-year and up 12 percent month-on-month, indicating a recovery in sales of new energy vehicles after a previous decline.
Disruption of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz led to an increase in oil prices, which had a positive impact on NEV sales in both China's domestic and export markets.
