Under the contract, SMS Group will supply core equipment, level 1 automation, process measurement systems, and CARTAneo® process software to the two companies. PQF® seamless pipe production plants, each with an annual capacity of about 1.18 million tons. Production of the first pipe is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027.
SMS Group to supply Baosteel Steel Pipe with two PQF seamless pipe production plants
The German SMS Group plant has announced the receipt of a new order from Baosteel Steel Pipe (Ma'anshan) Science and Technology Co., Ltd. for the supply of two PQF® seamless pipe rolling lines in Ma'anshan, further strengthening the long-standing cooperation between the two companies.
