NBS: At the end of August 2026, rebar prices in China increased by 2.2%

At the end of August this year, the average price of 20mm HRB 400E rebar in China increased by 67.4 yuan per ton, or 2.2%, to 3130.3 yuan per ton compared to mid-August, when it was 3062.9 yuan per ton, the National Bureau of Statistics of China reported.

During the same period, the average prices of wire rod, medium-thickness sheet steel, hot-rolled roll (HRC) and angle increased by 1.9%, 1.3%, 1.9% and 0.7%, respectively, while the average price of seamless steel pipes remained stable compared to the middle August.
