China’s steel sheet and plate exports fall 7.4% in January–September

China exported 50.46 million mt of steel sheet and plate in January–September 2026, down 7.4% from the same period a year earlier, according to the country’s customs authorities.

The decline was 0.5 percentage points slower than in January–August. September exports totaled 6.2 million mt, down 3.1% year on year but up 3.3% from August.
