Chinese steelmaker Angang Steel reported a net loss of RMB 4.034 billion for January–September 2026, up from RMB 2.04 billion a year earlier. Revenue for the nine-month period fell 4.46% to RMB 69.9 billion.
In the third quarter, revenue declined 2.23% year on year to RMB 24 billion. The net loss for July–September reached RMB 1.99 billion, compared with RMB 896 million in the same period last year.
Angang Steel attributed the weaker results to oversupply in the steel market and low steel prices. Higher raw material and fuel costs, as well as a narrower gap between procurement and sales prices, also weighed on performance.
The company is based in Liaoning province in northeastern China.
