Azovstal reduced the production of steel by three percent

The Mariupol Metallurgical Plant Azovstal Metinvest group in January - September 2013 reduced the production of steel by 2.8 percent, to 3 million 400 thousand tons compared with APPG -2012. Cast iron smelting decreased by 2.7 percent, to 2 million 960 thousand tons, and the production of metal rolling fell by 0.7 percent, to 3 million 150 thousand tons.

In September, Azovstal smelted 376 thousand tons of steel, 320 thousand tons of cast iron and produced 323 thousand tons of finished metal rolling.

Azovstal Metallurgical Plant OJSC is a modern high -tech enterprise that produces a wide range of metal products: slabs, varietal and shaped rental, railway rails, rail fasteners, a square workpiece, a thick leaf, products made of metallurgical slag.

The production capacity of the plant allows for more than 5.5 million tons of cast iron per year, more than 6.4 million tons of steel, including a 4.4 million tons converter, more than 4.4 million tons of rental. Design capacities for the production of rail bonds are 285 thousand tons per year, grinding balls - 170 thousand tons per year.
