In accordance with the contract signed at the beginning of this year, Turboat OJSC will produce three working wheels with thirteen blades, 2.65 meters in diameter and a weight of 12 tons each for a hydroelectric power station of 93 metro Watt “Turian” under construction in India. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian plant.
"In October 2013, the specialists of Turboatom OJSC made and handed over the second work wheel of the RO 75-V-265 hydraulic turbine for the hydroelectric power station for under construction," the Turboatoma press service reports.
In addition to three wheels, the Kharkiv residents will make a set of mobile seals and devices. Earlier, the plant carried out model tests, which are one of the terms of the contract. One radial-axial turbine equipped with components from Ukraine will be generated nominally 32.6 mega watts. The pressure of water will be 53 meters, and the wheel speed - 230.8 revolutions per minute.
