In January - September 2013, Ukrainian permits, compared with the APPG -2012, retained the production of metal rolling at last year’s level of 21 million 920 thousand tons, increased the production of steel by 1 percent, to 24 million 847 thousand tons and increased the production of cast iron by 2 percent, to 21 million 897 thousand tons. This was reported by the Association of Enterprises "Metallurgprom".
In September, Ukraine cast 2 million 690 thousand tons of steel, smelted 2 million 443 thousand tons of cast iron and rolled 2 million 328 thousand tons of metal rolling. At the same time, the average daily production of all of the above amounted to 89 thousand 700 tons (steel), 81 thousand 400 tons (cast iron) and 77 thousand 600 tons (rental).
As of October 1, 2013, 29 domain furnaces of 36 (81 percent), 18 converters out of 21 (86 percent), eight Martenovsky furnaces out of 14 (57 percent) and six electric furnaces out of 15 (40 percent) worked at Ukrainian metallurgical plants.
Recall that in 2012, Ukraine reduced the production of steel by 7 percent, to 32 million 940 thousand tons, the production of cast iron reduced by 1 percent, to 28 million 513 thousand tons and made a total rental by 9 percent less than in 2011 - 28 million 957 thousand tons.
