In 2016, Voestalpine in Austria, Leoben, will complete the construction of the most modern in Europe of the rental camp at its Leoben-Donawitz enterprise. As a result, the plant will produce about 550 thousand tons of high -quality rollery per year for the automobile and energy sphere.
A nine -digit investment figure will provide a successful future for the Donawitz plant. Over the past five years, the Voestalpine group has already invested more than a billion euros in eight sites in Stiria. Over the past year, the steel special forces in Stiria created 800 new jobs and 360 students have been studying in the region since 2012. Sales of the company amounted to 3.3 billion euros.
Iron ore is mined in the Upper Shteria from the 8th century, this led to the development of a prosperous metallurgical industry. Now a new chapter is written in the history of production development on Leoben-Donawitz. Voestalpine is currently building the most modern rolling mill in Europe.
Franz Kainersdorfer, a member of the Voestalpine board, believes that "large investments will strengthen further leadership in Europe and play a significant role in providing work by the local population: there are currently about 650 employees and these jobs are guaranteed in the coming years."
The contract for the construction of a new rolling mill was signed with the Italian Danieli. Mr. Kainersdorferfer explains that “in the future, Voestalpine will first expand in the regions outside Europe, in growing markets, such as in Asia or North and South America.
