According to the forecast of the British Analytical Agency MEPS, the world steel industry will increase the production of steel in 2013 by 3.1 percent, to 1 billion 600 million tons. The reduction of steel smelting in various regions of our planet will be more than compensated by growing production in China.
The metallurgical sector of Europe will continue to fall. According to MPS, the reduction in steel production in Europe is expected to 163 million tons, which is 3.3 percent less than in the APPG-2012.
The production of steel in the CIS countries will decrease by 2.6 percent, to 147 million tons.
North America countries will reduce steel smelting by 3.1 percent, to 120 million tons.
In South America, the production level of steel will remain the same as in 2012 - 46 million 200 thousand tons.
The production of steel in Africa will be reduced by 0.9 percent and will amount to 15 million 200 thousand tons in 2013.
In the Middle East, as in the last 15 years, the smelting began to continue, having reached 26 million 900 thousand tons this year.
The locomotive of world growth of steel - the countries of Asia will increase the smelting of steel by 5.9 percent, to 1 billion 70 million tons.
