The world production of stainless steel in 2013 will set a new record and reach 36.4 million tons

Мировое производство нержавейки в 2013 году поставит новый рекорд и достигнет 36,4 млн. тонн
In accordance with the forecasts of British analysts from MEPS, the global production of stainless steel in 2013 will set a new record, reaching 36 million 400 thousand tons. This indicator by 2.9 percent will exceed the last year's record of stainless steel production.

Meps is sure that in 2014 the growth of production volumes of stainless staining stamps will be 4.1 percent, demonstrating a new peak in the productivity of the world metallurgical industry at the level of 37 million 900 thousand tons.

The release of stainless metal rolling in the second quarter of the current year did not live up to expert expectations and therefore in MEPS they expect a strong recovery until the end of the year in order to achieve the forecast level of stainless steel production in 2013.

The total production volume in 2013, according to Meps forecasts, will be lower than last year in the EU, South Korea and Taiwan. In Japan and the USA, on the contrary, much more than in 2012. However, the production of stainless steel in all these countries remains significantly lower than the peak registered in 2006.

The release of stainless steel in China and other developing countries has a stable growth trend. The share of stainless steel in world production in these countries increased from 30 percent in 2006, according to MEPS, to 57 percent in 2013.
