SMS Siemag ups the converter at a steel plant at Salzgitter Flachstahl

In Germany, at the Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH metallurgical plant, which produces flat rental products and metal products in a wide range, an updated converter put by SMS Siemag has been successfully put into operation. The lamella system provides a converter suspension maintenance based on the optimal arrangement of the holding of the ring. The SMS SIEMAG supply kit consists of a converter bowl with an inclination mechanism, a suspension capacity with lamellas, bearings and bearing podiums, a case for a secondary dust removal system, also installing this equipment.

Salzgitter Flachstahl also ordered mechanical relanings, a device with a telescopic lifting system, which will greatly simplify the fireproof process of lining in the future. The commissioning of the facing device is scheduled for the end of January 2014.
