Turkey's trade deficit increased by 6.3 percent to $7.98 billion in November this year compared to November 2024, according to preliminary foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). In the first 11 months of this year, Turkey's foreign trade deficit rose 12.6 percent year-on-year to $82.67 billion.
Steel exports ranked seventh among the country's highest export value products, amounting to $810.99 million, up 11.9 percent from last year. Meanwhile, this month, the export value of iron and steel products, which ranked eighth among the products with the highest export value, fell 1.7 percent year on year to US$808.99 million.
In January-November this year, the export value of iron and steel from Turkey rose 5.5 percent to US$9.77 billion, while the export value of iron or steel products decreased by 1.4 percent to $8.82 billion year on year
